Why Am I So Exhausted in Midlife?

Meet Michele Anderson, your midlife mentor.

I help midlife women who feel exhausted, can’t sleep the way they used to, have weight that won’t budge, and experience pain that nobody has been able to explain. If you don’t feel like yourself anymore, I’ll help you finally understand what’s actually going on, and what to do about it.

The Woman You Were Didn’t Disappear – She Got Buried

If you’ve been caring for everyone else for years, family, work, community, it makes sense that your own needs slipped lower and lower on the list.

Your body is speaking up in ways that are hard to ignore:

  • A bone-deep exhaustion that doesn’t lift, no matter how much you rest
  • Sleep that doesn’t leave you restored
  • Weight that won’t budge, no matter what you try
  • Brain fog and difficulty thinking clearly
  • Pain or tension nobody has been able to explain
  • Reacting faster and sharper than you used to
  • Feeling unlike yourself, but not quite able to name how

You may already have tried:

  • New diets and routines
  • Supplements and wellness trends
  • Working harder at “self-care”
  • Pushing through, because people rely on you

And still ended up feeling confused, frustrated, and wondering what’s wrong with you.

It’s not that you’re doing anything wrong. Your system has changed, and it needs something different now.

“You are not imagining this, and you are not alone in it.”

Hi, I’m Michele

I’m Michele Anderson, a midlife mentor for women who feel exhausted, experiences other midlife symptoms that make them feel unlike themselves, and are not sure what’s happening.

I work with women who are tired of pushing through midlife and are ready to understand what their body has been trying to tell them, so they can stop fighting themselves and start feeling like themselves again.

What I Really Do

On paper, I help you:

  • Understand what’s actually behind your symptoms
  • Make sense of why you react the way you do
  • Use practical tools to help your body feel supported
  • Make small, realistic shifts that actually fit your life

But in practice, our work feels like:

  • Finally having someone listen and believe you
  • Realizing your symptoms aren’t random, and they’re not “just aging”
  • Understanding why you feel the way you do
  • Feeling less overwhelmed by everything
  • Feeling more compassion for yourself

My role isn’t to fix you. It’s to help you understand what your body has been carrying, why, and what actually helps. So you’re not left guessing why this is happening anymore, and you can finally feel like yourself again.

How I Got Here

For most of my adult life, I managed things well. I felt healthy and capable, and I’d spent more than a decade in massage therapy, energy work, nutrition coaching, and life coaching. My work matched how I lived.

But at the cusp of menopause, everything began stacking at once.

I lost two people I loved. My kids were in an intense season of life. I was holding the emotional center of my family. And my hormones were shifting underneath it all.

One thing at a time, I could have handled. All of it together pushed me past what I could carry.

My body finally gave out, and I had to take a sabbatical from my business. Practitioners, medical, functional, naturopathic, offered support, but none of them addressed what was driving it. No one explained why I felt so off.

So I went searching, and what I found changed how I understand my own body completely. I learned that chronic stress reshapes midlife in ways most women are never taught about, and that women like me were slipping through the cracks, not because we were doing something wrong, but because no one was addressing the real root.

That experience reshaped not only my health, but my entire approach to supporting midlife women. It showed me that symptoms aren’t random, sensitivity isn’t weakness, and your body is always trying to protect you.

My Approach

In our work together, I bring:

An understanding of what your body has been carrying

So you can see why certain things affect you more than they used to, and why that makes complete sense.

Awareness of how your body responds under pressure

So you can recognize you own way of responding, whether you tend to push through, absorb, react quickly, feel things deeply, or quietly run on empty.

Gentle, intuitive insight

Used to help connect the dots, without asking you to learn anything complicated yourself.

Practical, realistic tools

Small shifts that support your body without adding one more thing to your plate.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating space for you to feel like yourself again.

Who I Work With

I work with women who:

  • Notice reactions in their body or emotions they can’t explain
  • Have been told “everything looks normal” but don’t feel normal
  • Feel more easily overwhelmed than they used to
  • Are tired of trying to figure this out on their own
  • Want relief, not another complicated plan
  • Want to feel like themselves again

If you’ve been trying to navigate all of this alone, this is where things start to feel different.

Where To Begin

Most women begin with the quiz. If “why am I so exhausted in midlife” is the question keeping you up at night, this is where to start.

Take the Midlife Symptom Quiz and get a personalized result that helps explain what’s actually been going on. From there, you’ll reeive a short email series written specifically for what your result shows, including a free guide on what’s really behind your symptoms, so you can keep learning at your own pace.

You haven’t lost yourself. You’ve just been carrying too much, for too long, without the support you actually need.

Let’s change that.

You don’t have to keep feeling this way, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Common Questions About Working With Me

Are you a doctor or therapist?

No. I’m a midlife mentor. I help you understand what your body is responding to and what actually helps. This can complement, but not replace, medical or therapeutic care.

Why am I so exhausted in midlife, and how is this different from everything else I've tried?

Exhaustion in midlife rarely has one single cause, and most approaches only address the symptoms, not what’s actually driving them. This work looks at what your body has been carrying underneath the exhaustion, which is usually the piece that’s been missing.

Do we talk about my whole life or just my symptoms?

Both. Your symptoms don’t exist in a vacuum. We look at your experiences and what you’ve been carrying, but always at a pace that feels respectful and manageable.

Do I need to be "into" alternative approaches?

No. You only need to be curious and open to understanding yourself in a new way.

Is this only for severe symptoms?

No. Many women come to me simply because they feel off, or not like themselves, even if things look fine on paper.

What it's actually like to work with you?

Calm, unhurried, and paced to match where you’re ready to start. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out before we start. Most women say it feels like finally being able to exhale and say what’s actually been going on, without being rushed toward a solution.

Why Am I So Exhausted in Midlife, and What Do I Do About It?

You don’t have to navigate this season of midlife alone. And you don’t have to keep pushing, guessing, or second-guessing what your body is trying to tell you.

If that question sounds familiar, the Midlife Symptoms Quiz is the place to start. It takes just a few minutes, and it will help you finally understand what’s actually going on.
